Finding Neverland

A man crying at a movie is silly.  Yet somehow, a man recounting elegantly how he wept at a portrayal of human love and loss is beautiful, admirable, and tender.  But if that man was watching a pirated copy of such a portrayal, well … that’s just pathetic.

Sundance: Bunch of Amateurs

I live in Park City.  I could easily go to see a dozen independent films in this week of weeks, the Sundance Film Festival.  Or, I could stay at home with my 108″ screen and my projector and watch movies made by professionals.

Tough choice.

Every year, at the end of January, Park City is flooded with celebrities.  At least, that’s what the people who flood the street will tell you they are.  America’s biggest independent film festival, Sundance, attracts thousands of aspiring film and television stars.

Incredibly, some real stars show up as well.  And someone has to cook for them.
