Chefdance

Every year, at the end of January, Park City is flooded with celebrities.  At least, that’s what the people who flood the street will tell you they are.  America’s biggest independent film festival, Sundance, attracts thousands of aspiring film and television stars.

Incredibly, some real stars show up as well.  And someone has to cook for them.

Lisa Pilzer, who has been married to my boss Paul for 7 years today, is such a chef.  She’s cooking this weekend for the event affectionately known as “Chefdance.”  The celebrities in town pay exhorbitant fees to be fed each night of the film festival by a different famous chef.  Lisa Pilzer is no famous chef (yet), but the Society of Famous Chefs has decided that she cooks better than all of them anyway (who could argue?), so they might as well let her participate.

I got a frantic call this evening from Lisa on my cell phone.  Her “sous chef” for the event (little more than a veggie-cutter and plate-arranger in this case) has fallen very ill and will not be able to attend.  Could I help?

Oh, could I.

So it looks like tomorrow I’ll get bossed around by Paul during the day and Lisa at night, as I help her cater to her illustrious clientele.  Stay tuned for updates as they develop.

Boy, you sure are a good writer. It amazes me to see the difference in quality from my own writing.

Yet another area where you skill FAR exceeds my own.
