The Obsessed Programmer

My name is Ben Dilts.

I’m currently living happily in Park City, Utah.  I work with Paul Zane Pilzer at Zane Benefits, his latest venture into the American health insurance industry. When asked my title, I call myself the Chief Geek at Zane Benefits.  When something goes wrong technically at Zane Benefits, the buck stops at my desk.

I started programming at the tender age of six.  I was obsessed with making video games.  Only a few made it to completion, but the experience landed me in my first professional C++ development position with Estari, inc. during the summer before my senior year in high school.  Within a year, I was the lead programmer at the company.

I consider myself as proficient a programmer as money can buy.  I always figure that if anybody can write a program, I can, and I’d better learn how.  That philosophy has helped me gain confidence and skills that have turned into real earning power in the business world.
